about

Omega is a 14 tracks album recorded at Unreal Studioz, in Athens, Greece.

In most of the tracks, I play on two or three instruments simultaneously. I have included field recordings of various natural environments that were collected during my journeys in the UK, Greece, India and Japan, over the past two years. Following a more daring approach to my first album, in Omega I process the sound of the hang through heavy sound effects such as delays, reverbs and vocoders. Most of the tracks though have the sound of the instrument(s) in its pure character. Field recordings such as nature sounds, sea, footsteps, urban soundscapes personally sampled over the years at various locations around the globe are added to give a warm sonic perspective.

Have you ever heard the rain playing music on a Halo, or similar resonating instrument?

On a very experimental day, I have left the Halo in the rain with a microphone inside the vessel of the instrument and recorded nature playing music. The sonic result is very surprising.

"Journey to the lower world" features the enchanting voice of the French singer Johanne Staiquly. Together we are known as "Pax & Pan - Les troubadours modernes". You can learn more about our duet here at the project section of my website.

about

In 2007 I suffered a burnout after living & working in London for 4 years. The decision to change my way of living, guided ... more me to the Hang. Those two factors changed my life inside out.

Since then a lot time has passed & a lot of things have happened: 2 studio albums, a contribution to an OST, a few documentaries & meetings with beautiful souls.

I let my feelings flow through sound.
